This meeting, Katrina told us all about Springs Pond Flower Farm, which she and her husband band have recently established at Mt Fairy using regenerative and chemical free growing methods. This is a micro farm, providing fresh flowers. To the Bungendore region. She also gave us a hands-on workshop on dividing dahlia tubers, which we took home and are looking forward to planting once the last frosts are (we hope) gone – probably late October.

Note from the meeting, including information about the No Dig Garden – also known as theLayered or Lasagne method of gardening. This is a good way of starting a garden in the Bungendore region, given that you can establish a garden on concrete, using thes method. So good for much of this region, and good for under trees. Click here.

Teresa gave us a presentation on ‘Leeping a Worm Farm’ with information about setting it up and keeping it going – an excellent addition to your gardening strategy.. Click here.
